HFI Now Accepting Michelle North And Bill Sanderson Scholarship Applications

Deadline For Consideration Is November 30

The Helicopter Foundation International (HFI) today begins accepting applications for the Michelle North Scholarship for Safety and up to eight Bill Sanderson Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Scholarships. HFI annually offers up to 19 scholarships to help support students studying to become part of tomorrow's vertical aviation industry. Potential applicants should visit HFI’s website to view the requirements and to access the necessary application forms.

The Michelle North Scholarship for Safety was established in memory of Michelle North; a well-known helicopter safety expert and educator. This scholarship is awarded to a pilot who has already attained a commercial rating and demonstrates an outstanding aptitude for safe flying and aviation best practices. One scholarship may be awarded.

The Bill Sanderson Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Scholarships were founded by Helicopter Association International’s (HAI) Technical Committee to promote the choice of helicopter maintenance as a career. Bill Sanderson AMT Scholarship winners attend a course from a selection offered by airframe and power plant manufacturers with a value not to exceed $1,600. Up to eight scholarships may be awarded

The application deadline for these scholarships is November 30, 2015. Applications must be typed or legibly handwritten, although an electronic form of the application is preferred. Only applications that meet the minimum qualifications listed on the website will be considered.
