EASA Certification Director Trevor Woods presented EASA’s re-written CS-23 certification rules for small aircraft last week, noting that the "EASA CS-23 are new, smart and flexible rules, prepared with and for a safe innovative GA industry."
The reorganized CS-23 removes design limitations for manufacturers and thus open the way to innovation. A senior Air Force official says that it is possible that some pilots may not be allowed to leave the service when they they have fulfilled their commitment. Gen. Carlton Everhart, chief of the Air Mobility Command, said that he
