Robotic Skies has been selected by Silent Falcon UAS Technologies to provide its customers access to a comprehensive UAS service and support package.

Robotic Skies adds Silent Falcon to its list of commercial UAS OEMs seeking to improve customer service by providing access to experienced and OEM-trained maintenance technicians and support professionals. The turnkey field service programs are designed to keep customers’ aircraft flying safely, efficiently and affordably. Through Robotic Skies’ network, customers can schedule regular maintenance or deal with AOG situations at one of its more than 170 certified Service Centers across 40 countries. A technology kit developed by Sikorsky was used for the first time to operate a Black Hawk helicopter with full-authority, fly-by-wire flight controls. The May 29 flight marked the official start to the flight test program for the soon-to-be optionally piloted aircraft. Follow-on flight testing aims to include envelope expansion throughout the summer leading to fully autonomous flight (zero pilots) in 2020. This is the first full authority fly-by-wire retrofit kit developed by Sikorsky that has completely removed mechanical flight controls from the aircraft. On June 11, 2019 common European rules on drones, were published to ensure drone operations across Europe are safe and secure. The rules will help to protect the safety and the privacy of EU citizens while enabling the free circulation of drones and a level playing field within the European Union. The common rules will help drone operators, whether professional or recreational, to have a clear understanding of what is allowed or not. Once drone operators have received an authorization in the state of registration, they are allowed to freely circulate in the European Union. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-Unmanned!!!
