Tandem Skydivers Fatally Injured In Cape Cod

Witnesses Said The Pair Appeared To Be Descending Too Fast

Two skydivers, a student and an instructor, were fatally injured Sunday during a tandem jump in Cape Cod, MA. The two impacted a building, and witnesses said they seemed to be having problems while they descended.

Cape Cod Online reports that witnesses told authorities that the skydivers, 29-year-old Andrew Munson of Nantucket, MA and his instructor, 48-year-old Eldon Burrier of West Lynnwood, WA appeared to be descending too fast and "out of control" before impacting a building at a private residence. The homeowner, John Theriault, reportedly rushed to the building while his wife called 911.

Officials of Sky Dive Barnstable in Barnstable, MA, the skydiving school, said they would have no comment while the accident was under investigation.
