A legend of aviation in the U.K. passed away. Wing Commander Ken Wallis, who was instrumental in the development of the autogyro, was 97 years old.
Wallis allegedly cheated on his eye test in order to become a bomber pilot in WWII and was awarded the Bomber Command medal after waiting 71 years for the recognition. The newest version of WingX Pro7, Version 7.1, supports the recently TSO’d NavWorx ADS600-B transceiver making WingX Pro7 the first major mobile aviation app to support ADS-B Out transceivers. The FAA has mandated ADS-B Out in all airplanes by 2020. Russia’s ChelAvia confirmed its continuing investment in significantly expanding its fleet of Tecnam aircraft by placing the largest order ever with Tecnam.
