Aero-TV: John and Martha King -- Examining Redbird's Skyport

Two Veteran CFIs Look At The Potential Of The Skyport Program

The aviation world sat up and paid attention when the redbird Skyport program was announced... and while most folks weren't all that sure of what was going on, a few industry veterans were pretty excited and for darned good reason. Skyport was a chance to do something "completely different."

Two of the flight training industry's leading vets, John and Martha King were there and heavily involved in the planning and execution of the program. And to say the least, they were excited about the potential of what Jerry Gregoire's troops were about to show the aviation world.

What is Skyport? Redbird Skyport is a multi-faceted general aviation services facility, conveniently located at San Marcos Municipal Airport (KHYI) between Austin and San Antonio Texas. More importantly; Skyport is an aviation laboratory that takes the form of a working FBO, special events center and flight training operation, charged with developing innovative solutions to the issues facing the industry.

According to Redbird, "Skyport is a new kind of aviation business… We are unrelentingly focused on finding and delivering the best possible experience to you and in the process redefining the future of general aviation. Stop by and see for yourself. Sign up for an Aviation Experience Day to explore the freedom of flight, get the Instrument Rating you have always wanted, or treat yourself to the highest level of service next time you fly to central Texas. The ideas and innovations incubated here will shape the future of general
aviation. We invite you to be a part of it."
