Global UAV Autonomously Launches And Lands A Drone On A Moving Vehicle

Precision Flight Control Integration Made Operation Successful

Global UAV and Planck Aerosystems have successfully performed a fully autonomous landing and takeoff from a moving off-road vehicle with one of Global UAV’s research and development UAV’s from NOVAerial Robotics Inc. The precision landing and takeoffs are made possible by integration of precision flight control software technology from Planck. The software will enable the Procyon 800E UAV to autonomously take off and land from moving vehicles and marine vessels of various sizes.

Airbus H145 customers will now benefit from the extension of the warranty of the H145’s Arriel 2E engines from two years/1,000 hours to three years/2,000 hours. This extension is valid for H145s delivered from January 2018. Furthermore, Airbus has rolled out Helionix Step 3 on the H145, an enhanced version of Airbus’ Helionix avionics suite that enhances situational awareness, improves availability, accelerates helicopter connectivity, and reduces maintenance costs.
