Seek Return On Their Investment In Airline's Success
Capt. Tom Donaldson, chairman of the Continental pilots' union,
represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Intl., has
responded to Continental Airline's financial statement for the
fourth quarter of 2007. The company reported Q4 pre-tax profits of
$71M and $566M for the year.
NASA's Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy, or
SOFIA, has passed a significant mission milestone. It has completed
the first phase of experimental flight tests, which confirmed the
structural integrity and performance of the modified 747SP SOFIA
aircraft that carries a huge infrared telescope.
The first Air Force pilots selected to fly the F-22 Raptor

VLJ Leader To Provide Full Motion Simulator Training For

Switzerland-Based Business Aviation Group Expands 787 VIP
Boeing and Geneva-based PrivatAir have announced an order for
one Boeing 787-8 VIP airplane, a purchase-right exercise from
PrivatAir's initial 787 order in 2006. Today's order is valued at
$162 million. Through this agreement, PrivatAir has two 787s on
order and has secured an additional purchase right.
The National Transportation Safety Board has dispatched a team
of investigators to assist the government of the United Kingdom in
its investigation of Thursday's accident in which a Boeing 777-300
landed short of runway 27 Left at Heathrow International Airport in
BAE Systems has delivered five target detection systems to the
U.S. Army for use on Shadow unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The
AURORA Generation IV remote sensing system will provide U.S. forces
with precise detection and identification of potential threats,
increasing mission capability and survivability.

town of Readington, NJ did ultimately condemn 624 of the airport's
726 acres in 2006, and seize development rights to the remainder,
