Michael Goulian to Receive Bill Barber Award

To Be Presented At AirVenture Later This Month

Michael Goulian is honored and excited to be chosen to receive the prestigious 2009 Bill Barber Award for Showmanship during EAA's AirVenture 2009. "It was a huge surprise for me when I was informed that I was chosen to win this award. Bill Barber is a legend in the airshow business so I am very humbled to have my name attached to an award honoring his memory", remarked Michael.

7 Countries To Be Visited

Six Lithuanian pilots have begun a week-long trip around the Baltic Sea in six Flight Design CT aircraft. All six pilots belong to the Liekio Pilot Club, ALFA. The Baltic Flight 2009 will commemorate the Millennium of Lithuania and the 75th Anniversary of the famed ANBO pilots' flight around Europe.

ANN has been receiving tips the last few days that changes were apparently underway at Blue Mountain Avionics (BMA), a small company which created some very powerful and economical EFIS products targeting the experimental market. Now, fears the operation might be shutting down have been confirmed by company founder Greg Richter.

LSA manufacturer Flight Design has recently entered the Indian market, and the largest flight school in India, Academy of Carver Aviation Pvt. Ltd., has become a Flight Design Pilot Center and the distributor for India.
