Model Aircraft Have Operated Since Long Before The NAS Existed
ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, visited the headquarters of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and took the opportunity to talk with Rich Hanson, the Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs for the AMA. Model aircraft have operated since long before what we call “the national airspace system” even existed. Hanson points out that as aviation became more complex and the airspace system was created, modelers have found a way to work in harmony with full scale aircraft.
