Famous aviators, astronauts, and innovators are among those participating in this year’s Theater in the Woods evening programs, one of most popular annual features at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. The evening programs, which are scheduled from Sunday, July 25, through Saturday, July 31, bring these personalities to Theater in the Woods for presentations and conversations that have been a unique part of AirVenture for 50 years.
National Aerobatics Day Is The Fourth Saturday In June Each Year
National Aerobatics Day will debut on Saturday, June 26 as announced by Jim Bourke, President of the International Aerobatics Club (IAC) in March. Since that time, many aviation leaders have expressed much enthusiasm for the new celebratory day. “Aerobatics is another way to improve your overall stick and rudder skills. It is a natural extension to upset training that is often encouraged by plane manufactures and insurance companies,” said Jack J. Pelton, EAA Chairman and CEO.

At Sun ‘n Fun 2015, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, came across a company by the name of Avilution and talked with its founder, Mark Spencer. Avilution is in the process of developing an aircraft avionics and flight display system that does what you expect in all such systems, but they do it in a different way. Avilution had an aircraft on display with a system that looked like a typical glass cockpit that included the MFD and the PFD.
