From March 28 through the 30th Corvair engine aficionados from all over the county converged on the EAA hangar with their engines, parts, tools and a combined knowledge of how to convert these 1960s something automobile motors into finally tuned aircraft power plants. Tecnam's Astore LSA made its U.S. debut at a news conference Tuesday at Sun N' Fun in Lakeland, FL. The airplane was introduced last summer at AERO 2013 Friedrichshafen, Germany, and there are nearly 30 of the LSAs already flying, according to Tecnam.
