"Actually, I have always dreamed of flying," Jan Hercek began his story. "When I was in the third grade of elementary school, that's nine years old in my country (Slovenia, formerly Yugoslavia), I started to draw sketches of aircraft and pretend-calculations on how to make an aircraft fly. I lived in a small village, about 50 houses – no more than maybe 200 people. So I was pretty alone in my daydreaming about aircraft."
