EAA Is Determined That AirVenture Will Go On In 2021

AirVenture 2021 Planning Continues — Advance Tickets on Sale

At last week's fall meeting – held in a virtual format – the EAA board of directors supported the ongoing planning efforts for EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021, which will be held July 26-August 1 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh. Among those preparations are incorporating best practices for large public events that can be incorporated at Oshkosh next year. "There will be AirVenture in 2021, as it is so important for all of us in every segment of the aviation community," said Jack J. Pelton, EAA CEO and Chairman of the Board.

AMA Gets A Boost From Understanding Lawmakers

Senators Todd Young and Mike Braun Write Letter to OMB

At a time when fewer and fewer politicians seem willing to take the time to understand issues of importance to people like you and I, its nice to know that a few lawmakers still 'get it.' AMA leaders are expressing appreciation to Senators Todd Young and Mike Braun for issuing a letter advocating on behalf of the model aircraft community to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in response to the FAA’s proposed rule on Remote ID. The letter, issued on November 19, 2020, advocated for the OMB to consider operating at fixed flying and using an app-based software solution when finalizing the Remote ID rule.
