Nonagenarian Skydives for Museum Charity

9 Jumps at 90 to Fund Skydiving Museum

Ten years ago, history maker Pat Moorehead completed a record 81 jumps on his 80th birthday to raise funds for the International Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame (ISMHF), bringing in $20,000 with his efforts. Now, for his 90th birthday, he will jump again. For that 2011 attempt, Pat had the support of 50 riggers, cameramen, a pilot, and medical personnel on standby. A constant stream of parachute packing and aircraft prep took place over the course of 6 ½ hours, until he made his 81st jump with a celebratory American flag. NTSB Prelim: RANS S20

Just After The Airplane Became Airborne, The Airplane Rolled Inverted And Impacted The Runway

On September 18, 2021, about 1845 eastern daylight time, a Rans S-20 airplane, N6915G, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Wadsworth, Ohio. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The Wadsworth Municipal (3G3) airport surveillance camera captured the accident sequence on video. A preliminary review of the video revealed a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter and the accident airplane both utilizing runway 2.
