Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor recently welcomed the General Dynamics F-111C jet (serial number A8-130) to its collection of vintage and high performance aircraft. A gift from the Royal Australian Air Force, the jet is one of seven airframes being released to civilian institutions, the only one being gifted outright, and the only one being given outside Australia.

Boeing delivered the 223rd and final U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III airlifter Wednesday, fulfilling the production contract more than 20 years after the first delivery. Soldiers from Company B, 96th Aviation Support Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) – OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter mechanics and OH-58D armament-electrician-and-avionics technician specialists – recently began the process of refurbishing an AH-1F Cobra at Fort Campbell, Ky. After cleaning, repainting and reassembling the helicopter, it is set to go on display in front of the Don F. Pratt Museum at Fort Campbell, joining many others on display across from the museum.

UK Military Helicopter Support Contract Awarded

The MOD Has Awarded A Contract To Rolls Royce Turboceca For Engine Maintenance For Two Of The UK's Military Helicopter Fleets

The 6-year agreement with Rolls-Royce Turbomeca will deliver essential support for the Army’s Apaches and the Merlin helicopters used by the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force. The new contract will deliver savings of more than £300 million ($474.5 million) compared to previous arrangements. Both the Apaches and the Merlins, which operate around the world and have had extensive service in Afghanistan, are powered by the same RTM322 engines.
