California Closures Keep Coming
Boeing may be forced to shut down its C-17 manufacturing plant
in California by 2008. The Pentagon, it seems, faces a budget
crunch because of continued operations in Iraq.
Two C-130 Hercules and 50 Air Force reservists from the 910th
Airlift Wing left Youngstown Air Reserve Station on Sept. 8 to fly
aerial spray missions in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Initial flight testing has begun of the advanced fire-control
radar being developed for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike
Fighter (JSF) aircraft.
