The most elite group in Civil Air Patrol’s cadet program gained its 2,000th member today – a milestone 50 years in the making – when Cadet Col. Matthew Jackson of the New Jersey Wing’s Twin Pine Composite Squadron achieved the Gen. Carl A. Spaatz Award.
Purchases Nine Aircraft, Simulator, Support Package
The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) has signed a contract for the purchase of nine Pilatus PC-9 M training aircraft. The order also includes a simulator, training equipment and a comprehensive logistics support package.
Technology Is Integral To The Function Of The F-35 Lightning II JSF
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Lockheed Martin and Rockwell Collins executives commemorated the delivery of the first Gen III F-35 Helmet Mounted Display System (HMDS) Tuesday. In addition to the HMDS, the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II demonstrator was on site at the Cedar Rapids headquarters of Rockwell Collins for Sen. Ernst to get a first-hand experience of “flying” the military’s most advanced fighter jet following the delivery ceremony.
The Air Force welcomed an Airman to the rank of four-star general and announced the appointment of the new Air Force vice chief of staff during a ceremony at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C., Aug. 6.
