Operation Characterized as a "Routine Maintenance Test
Flight"
The Army Times is reporting that two Army Helicopter pilots died
when in a crash at Wheeler Army Airfield. The names of the pilots
are being withheld pending notification of relatives.
"I didn't think any of us was ever going to finish the first few
months (in Europe)." World War II Bomber Pilot Tom Holmes Jr. a
businessman in Jasper, Texas died on Memorial day, a day his family
called "appropriate."
GE Rolls-Royce tells ANN that it has begun Flight Clearance
Certification Review, a process that will clear the F136 engine for
flight testing in the next several months.
Air Force officials officially began to test a 50-50 mixture of
synthetic and JP-8 fuels in a Type 3 constant-pressure fuel hydrant
system at Sheppard Air Force Base, May 18.
