F/A-18C Hornet fighter jets from Carrier Air Wing 9, flying from
the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) in the Persian Gulf,
dropped six precision bombs on anti-Iraqi forces in Iraq May 8.
Lt Col Gary Aldrich, USAF (Ret), a
Test Pilot Instructor at Edwards Air Force Base, CA, joins the EAA

CDT. Aldrich is a 22-year Air Force veteran and graduate of the
USAF Test Pilot School. He has flown more than 40 different types
of military and civilian aircraft ranging from the Goodyear Blimp
to an F-16. Aldrich also serves president of EAA Chapter
1000.
