Avionics Repair Agreement One Of The Largest Such Deals In Company History
Rockwell Collins has been awarded two contracts to provide service and support for the KC-135 Pacer CRAG (Compass, Radar and GPS) program. The scope of the avionics repair package consists of nearly 4,000 line replaceable units across the fleet of 417 KC-135 aircraft and will be one of the largest repair contracts in terms of volume for Rockwell Collins in its 80-year history.
Kaman Expects To Deliver The Helos Over The Next Three Years
The New Zealand Cabinet has authorized the New Zealand Ministry of Defence (MoD) to enter into an approximately $120 million contract with Kaman Aerospace Corporation (Kaman) for the purchase of ten SH-2G(I) Super Seasprite aircraft, spare parts, a full mission flight simulator, and related logistics support.
Proposed Sale Of Contractor Logistics Valued At $300 Million
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notified Congress April 16 of a possible Foreign Military Sale to a NATO consortium for follow-on contractor logistics support for NATO Airlift Management Program C-17 aircraft and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support for an estimated cost of $300 million.
The Air Force's last four MC-130E Combat Talon I's spread their wings for a final mission from their home at Duke Field on April 15. The Talons will be officially retired in a ceremony at Duke Field on April 25 and the aircraft will then be flown to the "boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, AZ.

A team of Air Force mountaineers has begun their journey to ascend and summit Mount Everest recently as the final expedition of the independent U.S. Air Force Seven Summit Challenge. The team of six Airmen is underway on a 50-day journey to the highest mountain on earth, completing a project that began eight years ago.
