US Air Force officials confirm two pilots died when an Air Force
T-38C Talon trainer crashed Wednesday afternoon on the grounds of
Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi.
Insitu, Inc. announced this week the company recently flew Heavy
Fuel Engine (HFE) equipped ScanEagles in Iraq. This was the first
demonstration of HFE technology in a real-world environment and was
conducted in cooperation with the US Navy.
The Department of the Navy announced Tuesday the Northrop
Grumman Corp. has been awarded the system development and
Demonstration (SDD) contract for the Broad Area Maritime
Surveillance Unmanned Aircraft System (BAMS UAS).
