Electronic Systems Center officials intend to call for proposals
within the next few months for development and production of a new
deployable air traffic control system.
Said They Are Escaping Political Crackdown In That Country
Two Colonels in the Libyan Air Force have reportedly flown their
fighters to Malta and asked for political asylum. They say the
recent crackdown on anti-government protesters in Libya drove them
to make their escape.
The U.S. Air Force is raising concerns that a new G4 service to
be offered by a company called LightSquared which was recently
approved by the FCC will create so much interference that it could
render GPS units worthless.
