Boeing told ANN this week the company recently demonstrated the
successful use of an electro-optical/infrared targeting pod on a
B-1 bomber, increasing the aircraft's ability to minimize ground
threats and halt an enemy's advancement.
In a release Thursday, Northrop Grumman says it will respond to
the US Air Force's request for proposal (RFP) for a tanker aircraft
to replace its aging fleet of KC-135 Stratotankers.
The team behind the F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft is the
recipient of the National Aeronautic Association's 2006 Robert J.
Collier Trophy, considered America's most prestigious award for
aeronautical and space development.
