F-35 MRO&U Assignments Made By DoD

Overseas Locations For Heavy Maintenance Named

The Department of Defense has assigned F-35 Regional Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and Upgrade (MRO&U) capability for airframes and engines for the European Region. The assignments were based on data compiled and analyzed by the F-35 Joint Program Office that was collected from European Partners and their industries. These initial MRO&U assignments will support near-term engine and airframe F-35 overseas operations and maintenance and will be reviewed and updated in approximately five years.

US Marine Corps Completes First Flight Of Data-Link-Equipped MALD-J

Data Link Allows In-Flight Targeting Adjustments

The U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force successfully collaborated with Raytheon Company for the first flight demonstration of a Miniature Air Launched Decoy Jammer (MALD-J) equipped with a radio data link. Adding the data link expands the weapon's situational awareness and allows for in-flight targeting adjustments.
