Earlier this week, Embraer announced the delivery of the first
five Super Tucano aircraft to the Colombian Air Force (FAC) in a
ceremony held at Embraer's Gaviao Peixoto Unit in the State of Sao
Paulo, Brazil.
Aero-News has learned Boeing will provide worldwide unmanned
aerial systems (UAS) communications and network systems expertise
to the US Air Force under a five-year $14 million contract. Boeing
also will work with the Air Force to develop current and future UAS
operations plans for allied missions.
Capitol Hill Concerns Could Drive A Requirements Rewrite
The US Air Force is pushing back its request for bids on a new
tanker until the end of January. The change was made amid concerns
on Capitol Hill the bid contest isn't fair enough.
Little is known about the circumstances that led a French pilot
to punch out of his Mirage F1 fighter Wednesday while on an escort
mission... other than the best news, that the pilot is safe.
