Lockheed Martin has received a $158.5 million contract for the second phase of the German Navy P-3C Mission System Refresh program. The program will upgrade the mission system processing suites on the fleet of eight P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft to support operations through 2035. The Mission System Refresh is part of an overall fleet upgrade that includes structural mid-life upgrades as well as an upgrade to the Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) cockpit capability.

L3 Technologies has received a production contract for multiple awards totaling $97 million in support of the U.S. Army’s Apache Manned/Unmanned Teaming – eXpanded Capabilities (MUMT-X) helicopter program. By enabling communications and data teaming between manned and unmanned aircraft, MUMT-X provides the Apache AH-64E with a transformational warfighting capability that is significantly more robust, lighter and less expensive than the original Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) control system.

Designed To Improve Performance Of King Air 350 Aircraft

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) recently demonstrated a suite of technologies, together called the King Air 350 Extended Range (ER) Mission Enhancement Kit. SNC has teamed with Vector-Hawk Aerospace (VHA) a subsidiary government and military sales division of Blackhawk Modifications in Waco, Texas, and Advent Aircraft Systems, Inc. of Tulsa, OK to offer the Mission Enhancement Kit. The demonstration was held in Huntsville, AL.
