Blue Angels Cancel Saturday California Capital Airshow Performance
Early Saturday, October 1st, the powers-that-be at the CA Capital Airshow published the following statement: "Within the last hour, the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, cancelled the Saturday performance at the California Capital Airshow, Oct. 1. The Blue Angels commanding officer and flight leader, Cmdr. Ryan Bernacchi, contracted a food-borne ailment and is under the medical supervision of the team’s Flight Surgeon. Cmdr. Bernacchi will be reevaluated regularly, as the team is hopeful he will be ready to fly for the final day of the air show. At this time, the Blue Angels are scheduled to perform on Sunday as planned..."
