Iowa to Host Cessna 120-140 Association Annual Convention

The International Cessna 120-140 Association is an all-volunteer group comprising approximately one-thousand aircraft owners, pilots, and aviation enthusiasts bound by a shared interest in restoring, maintaining, and flying Cessna model 120, 140 and 140A aircraft of 1946 to 1951 vintages. 2023’s International Cessna 120-140 Association Annual Convention will be held at Decorah, Iowa’s Decorah Municipal Airport (DEH), a city-owned public-use airport located two-nautical-miles southeast of the central business district of Decorah, a city of some eight-thousand inhabitants in northeastern Iowa’s Winneshiek County.

Airplane Impacted A Fallow Cornfield About 11.8 Nautical Miles (NM) Southwest Of The Departure Airport

On July 6, 2023, about 1330 mountain daylight time (MDT), a Piper PA-60-601P airplane, N100PB, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Burlington, Colorado. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. A search of radar and automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast (ADS-B) data sources did not reveal any track data for the flight. There were no witnesses to the accident.

August 1st Sandersville, GA Accident Under Investigation

Two people are expected to survive injuries resultant of a Tuesday, 01 August 2023 accident in which the first 6-place ULPower'ed Velocity V-Twin, registration N106VT, was substantially damaged subsequent after impact with marshy terrain in the vicinity of Sandersville, Georgia.
