Sporty’s $2,500 Scholarship Winner Named

Student and Aspiring Airline Pilot Claims The Prize

Isaacc Love-Jackson has been interested in becoming a pilot all of his life. He grew up in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin where he watched airplanes almost daily. Love-Jackson is also the latest recipient of Sporty’s $2,500 Flight Crew Scholarship. He worked at Wisconsin Aviation at Truax Field in 2018 to earn the money for his flight training. Isaac wants to use his award to pay down the debt he has from commercial training and get started on his CFI. Issac can’t wait to share his passion for aviation with others and then continue on to his ultimate dream of flying for a legacy air carrier.

The Flight Instructor Directed The Private Pilot To Recover “Gradually And Easily”

On August 9, 2021, about 1335 eastern daylight time, a Diamond DA-42-L360 airplane, N906ER, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Hiddenite, North Carolina. The flight instructor and a private pilot were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 instructional flight. The flight instructor and private pilot had completed several maneuvers and simulated emergency procedures during the multi-engine instructional flight.
