The FAA Announces A New Center Of Excellence

Will Focus On Technical Training And Human Performance

FAA Administrator Michael Huerta has announced that the agency has selected the University of Oklahoma and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University teams to lead the new Air Transportation Center of Excellence for Technical Training and Human Performance (COE TTHP). The COE will conduct research and development on technical training for air traffic controllers, aviation safety inspectors, engineers, pilots and technicians.

Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission Awards Aviation And Aerospace Grants

Over $218,000 Will Help Expose School-Aged Children To STEM Disciplines

Twenty four organizations were recently awarded Aerospace and Aviation Education Program grants or contracts totaling over $218,000 from the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission (OAC). The funds will be used to expose more school-aged children in Oklahoma to STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers, particularly those in aerospace and aviation.
