Sometimes you just have to stand up and question authority, and that's just what the leadership of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) has done following the FAA's release this week of data that shows a sharp increase in "drone" sightings by pilots of manned aircraft. The AMA says the FAA needs to get its own house in order on the issue.
New Owner Says Operations And Staffing Will Not Change
H-D Advanced Manufacturing Company (H-D), which specializes in high-precision severe-duty components, has acquired Twin Commander Aircraft LLC parent company Firstmark Corporation. The acquisition was effective June 30.
As many as 30 aircraft were flipped over at Chandler Municipal Airport (KHCD) in Arizona when strong storms passed through the area with winds up to 60 miles per hour. In all, airport officials said 41 planes sustained significant damage due to the storm, and dozens of others were slightly damaged.
