Of all the things aviation did not need as it continues to crawl out from under the effects of the pandemic, its one moronic yahoo making us all look bad. Really bad. The most recent case in point: The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the pilot of a small plane that flew at approximately 300 feet over crowds at the Gulf Coast Jam three times this past Saturday evening, alarming attendees, security personnel, and organizers of the event. Out of caution, the concert was stopped and the stage cleared.

Genesys Aerosystems has received TSO approval of a new update to the S-TEC 3100 that brings additional features and enhancements to their popular digital autopilot. The new Version 1.4 update comprises of both software and hardware changes to the S-TEC 3100. The new hardware features a white backlit display perfect for bright sunlit panels or steep viewing angles. An updated bezel accompanies the change in display and features an optional VNAV button or menu (MNU) button.
