pilot of a stolen Cessna 172 has landed the aircraft on a highway
near Ellsinore, MO after flying around for several hours, and
leading to the evacuation of the Wisconsin state capitol.

SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive
(AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory
continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation
authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe
condition on an aviation product.

Since the 1970’s, eight airlines have come and gone from
the Palmdale Regional Airport. Its most recent carrier was United
Airlines, which cancelled its four daily flights last December due
to low ridership. The final blow to the airport came in February
when management entity Los Angeles World Airports pulled out and
shut it down.
