Modern Aviation held a grand opening for its upgraded and expanded FBO campus at Centennial Airport in Denver, Colorado. The freshly upgraded and expanded project includes the addition of two heated 28 ft-door hangars, a Class A FBO terminal and an expanded ramp. The work is the end result of almost $23 million, providing 7,000 square feet of terminal space, with 52,000 sq ft of hangar space. The interior offices now sport an additional 4,000 sq ft of office space, and operators outside can enjoy 150,000 sq ft of ramp to park on.
Shortly After Takeoff, As He Retracted The Landing Gear, The Engines Lost Partial Power
On February 14, 2023, about 0838 Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time, a Cessna P337H, a twinengine, centerline thrust airplane, N5KR sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident in Kona, Hawaii. The pilot and passengers were not injured. The airplane was operated by the pilot as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 135 sightseeing flight. Just prior to departure, the pilot completed the preflight and engine run-up with no anomalies noted. The airplane subsequently departed Runway 35 at the Kona International Airport (KOA), Kona.
