SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2009-05-12
SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive
(AD) for certain Cessna Aircraft Company(Cessna) Models 208 and
208B airplanes.
Cirrus Design has been sued by the widow of former New York
Yankees baseball pitcher Cory Lidle for some $50 million, based on
claims by the late ballplayer's agent Lidle would have made at
least that much had his career not been cut short by the October
2006 plane crash that claimed his life.
Increased Security May Be Coming To An Airport Near You
It's official. A newly-emboldened Transportation Security
Administration is taking a hard line when it comes to security at
airports served by both commercial airline and general aviation
traffic in the form of "Operation Playbook"... a program the TSA
tried, and failed, to implement late last year. Industry sources
tell ANN a revised form of "Playbook" will soon go into effect at
many airports nationwide.
