Program
Hawker Beechcraft implemented a new fee structure on Monday for
support of some of its older model GA aircraft. Dubbed "CLASS", for
Classic Legacy Aircraft Service and Support, the program institutes
charges for technical support and services for aircraft models
which have been out of production for many years.
New COO Position Created To Run Day-To-Day Operations
AOPA announced a significant redesign of its upper management
structure Thursday, creating the position of Chief Operating
Officer (COO) to oversee the day-to-day running of the Association,
as well as a new position to lead the AOPA Foundation.

The pilot of a Cheyenne IIXL, Piper PA-31T2 N85EM, died when his
aircraft impacted the ground in a heavily wooded area near
Harrison, MI, on Friday night. No other persons were
aboard. The aircraft departed Seneca County Airport (KTVC)
heading to Cherry Capital Airport (K16G).
