The operator of a Mistubishi MU-2 involved in a fatal December
2005 takeoff accident has sued the planemaker, stating it knew the
turboprop twin was uncontrollable in takeoff configuration in the
event of engine failure. The lawsuit also alleges enginemaker
Honeywell International knew of a potential problem with the MU-2's
engines, but did not require modifications to solve the
problem.

Continues Search For Javelin Funding, But Development On
Hold
Aviation Technology Group gave walking papers to 40 of its 50
workers at Denver's Centennial Airport on Monday, as the company
struggles to obtain funding to continue development of the Javelin
very-light jet.
It's not exactly peace in our time... but it should keep New
York Senator Chuck Schumer quiet for awhile. And speaking of peace
and quiet, an agreement announced Monday between helicopter
operators on Long Island and citizens living under area flight
paths should mean quieter times ahead, too.
