The Alaskan Interior will be the site of some major aerial
training sessions by the Air Force in 2008... and that concerns the
general aviation community in Alaska.
On the 104th anniversary of Orville and Wilbur Wright’s
first flight, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) is
kicking off a television ad campaign to remind Americans how
important general aviation airplanes and airports are to their
quality of life.
Helicopter Association International told ANN this week of this
year's MD Helicopters Law Enforcement Award recipient, Mr. Daniel
B. Schwarzbach, a Senior Police Officer with the Houston (TX)
Police Department.
Era Helicopters LLC (Era) announced this week it will open a new
7,694 square foot helicopter training facility in Lake Charles, LA
early next year. The facility, Era Training Center LLC, will
feature two helicopter Flight Training Devices (FTDs), an AS-350B2
FTD and an EC-135 CPDS P2+ FTD, classrooms, custom briefing areas
and administrative offices.
The Challenger Center for Space Science Education’s newest
Learning Center will be the first such location to incorporate a
sustainable building design in support of the interactive
experience that immerses over 400,000 students a year in science,
technology, engineering and mathematics concepts.
