Thirty-Percent Increase in Aircraft Deliveries Noted

Embraer delivered 43 jets in 2023’s third-quarter, an increase of thirty-percent compared to 2022’s third-quarter, during which 33 aircraft were delivered. Commercial Aviation has shown robust delivery growth, soaring from ten to 15 aircraft, a fifty-percent increase compared to the same period in 2022. For Executive Aviation, there was also an increase; 28 jets delivered (19 light and 9 medium) representing a 22-percent increase compared to 2022's third-quarter.

Bigger, Better, More

The capabilities of Leonardo’s AW169 light-intermediate twin-engine helicopter will grow further by dint of the launch of a 5,100 kg (11,243-pound) Increased Gross Weight (IGW) kit and a new 11-seat configuration fully-compliant with the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) Report 690. Aero2 UAV to Help Link Swedish Hospitals

European Medical Drone, the Swedish drone operator engaged in connecting hospitals by means of drone transportation, and Dufour Aerospace, the Swiss eVTOL concern, have signed a development cooperation and purchase agreement for 11 Aero2 uncrewed tilt-wing aircraft. Subject agreement includes the delivery of one Aero2 X2.3 prototype aircraft in 2024 and ten serial Aero2 aircraft to follow in 2026. Assisting in the transaction is Swedish helicopter vendor and Dufour Aerospace partner Savback Helicopters.

While at EAA AirVenture 2014, ANN News Editor, Tom Patton checked out what was going on at the Redbird Flight Simulation display. Tom talked with Josh Harnagel, the Director of Online Marketing for Redbird Flight Simulations. Redbird is becoming known as the innovator in aviation simulation and in the way simulation is used in flight training. However, as important as flight simulation can be, it’s also a lot of fun.
