Certified: P2010 TDI Gets The Nod From EASA

Fuel Burns Range From 4.5 USG/HR At 55% Power, To 7 USG/HR At 75% Power

TECNAM has received a Type Certificate for the P2010 TDI from EASA. The P2010 TDI certification adds the Diesel/JetA1 engine to the family of Avgas and Mogas-powered TECNAM aircraft. The P2010 airframe, with its composite fuselage design and the all-metal wing and stabilator, has proven to be a good match for the Diesel engine. The "P Twenty-Ten" now offers the flexibility offered by the use of Diesel/JetA1 fuel and the low operating costs provided by the dual FADEC-controlled Continental engine.

Deadline to Apply for WAI Scholarships Coming Up Quickly

November 10 Is The Cut-Off Date For Nearly $400,000 In Awards

Thousands of dollars in scholarships will be awarded at WAI's upcoming 32nd Annual International Women in Aviation Conference, and WAI says the time to apply is now. To qualify for a scholarship, the applicant must be a current WAI member by November 1 and submit their application by November 10, 2020. 82 individual scholarships, worth nearly $400,000 are available in areas ranging from aerospace to engineering, from maintenance, dispatcher, to flight training. Numerous career enhancement and type ratings are available. As in past years, scholarships are not just for young people or students. A variety of scholarships are targeted for people in mid-career or even retirement.

NTSB Prelim: Cessna 210

Pilot Found A Clearing Next To The Highway And Setup For A Forced Landing

On October 4, 2020, about 1150 mountain daylight time, a Cessna 210 airplane, N9568X, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Cedaredge, Colorado. The pilot and one passenger were seriously injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. After the accident, the pilot stated that he and the passenger were departing from Blake Field Airport (AJZ), Delta, Colorado, with 60 gallons of fuel, and were en route to Casper, Wyoming.
