Would Be Located At Heritage Center Industrial Park
A new airport and other aviation infrastructure has been proposed at the Knoxville, TN Heritage Center Industrial Park. Local officials say they hope the airport will help revitalize the industrial park and increase economic development in the region.
The FAA has eliminated the requirement for operators to apply for an RVSM (Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum) authorization when their aircraft are equipped with qualified ADS-B Out systems and meet specific altitude-keeping equipment requirements for operations in RVSM airspace.
