Multi-Rotor Copter Will Fold Up Smaller Than Most Tablet Devices
A Kickstarter campaign has been established for a small tri-rotor copter called a "Pocket Drone" that reportedly can carry a GoPro-sized camera, but still fold up to a size smaller than most tablet devices. The company making the aircraft is AirDroids, and it says the Pocket Drone is "The ultimate heavy-lift microcopter."
FltPlan.com has officially released its new free iPad app, FltPlan Go, and it is available now for download at the iTunes store. The FltPlan Go app adds many features for users of FltPlan.com in a new redesigned app. The legacy FltPlan app was originally created four years ago to provide pilots with airport information and approach charts.
Aspen Avionics President And CEO Recognized For Leadership In The Aviation Industry
John Uczekaj, president and CEO of Aspen Avionics was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation at its annual gala on January 18, 2014, at the Beverly Hilton. Uczekaj accepted his award from John Travolta, an advocate and supporter of general and business aviation. He was one among seven inductees at this year’s event produced by the Kiddie Hawk Air Academy.
Pilots will meet next Tuesday on January 28 at 7 PM in Oshkosh, WI, the “capital of General Aviation,” to establish the Fox Valley Chapter of the IMC Club International.
