Airbus has announced plans for a new CityAirbus at the Company’s first Airbus Summit on “Pioneering Sustainable Aerospace” as the emerging Urban Air Mobility (UAM) market begins to firm up. Ushering in the next generation of CityAirbus, the fully electric vehicle is equipped with fixed wings, a V-shaped tail, and eight electrically powered propellers as part of its uniquely designed distributed propulsion system. Aero Linx: The Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (IALPA) The Irish Air Line Pilots’ Association (IALPA) came into being in 1946 when a group of Aer Lingus pilots met and formed a committee, headed by the first IALPA President Captain P. W. (Darby) Kennedy. In the early days it dealt with the airline on matters of common interests, mainly the “lifestyle” items of salary, working conditions, pension and seniority. As the Association’s title implies, IALPA currently draws its membership from all airlines in Ireland -i.e.,  Aer Lingus, ASL Airlines, CHC (Ireland), CityJet, Irish Helicopters, Parc Aviation, Ryanair, Stobart Air, and Westair.

Precipitation Radar Weather Descriptions Existing radar systems cannot detect turbulence. However, there is a direct correlation between the degree of turbulence and other weather features associated with thunderstorms and the weather radar precipitation intensity. Controllers will issue (where capable) precipitation intensity as observed by radar when using weather and radar processor (WARP) or NAS ground-based digital radars with weather capabilities.
