Aero Linx: Cessna T-50 "The Flying Bobcats" The Birth of the T-50... It was in the later part of 1938 and early months of 1939 that the T-50 twin was develped. Originally designed for feeder line and persomal transport use, it has proven itself an ideal training plane for multiengine aircraft. This ship was test flown on a Sunday and with a handful of Cessna employees present, it was taken aloft for the first time by Dwane Wallace with Bill Snook as co-pilot. It's success is evident by the quantities that were produced for Canada and the United States Army.

Back-Taxi A term used by air traffic controllers to taxi an aircraft on the runway opposite to the traffic flow. The aircraft may be instructed to back-taxi to the beginning of the runway or at some point before reaching the runway end for the purpose of departure or to exit the runway.
