Local Model Aircraft Clubs Offer Free Family-Friendly Events Across The US

Today, August 17, thousands of model aircraft enthusiasts across the country are celebrating the seventh annual National Model Aviation Day, an event that brings together hobbyists and members of local Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) clubs to enjoy family-friendly model aircraft flying events. "National Model Aviation Day is a great opportunity for anyone interested in model airplanes or drones to interact with seasoned hobbyists and see why we're so passionate about flying," said Chad Budreau, Executive Director of AMA. "We hope to educate people about how to operate safely - and have a lot of fun with members of the community too!"
