An aviation related cartoon that's accurate enough to amuse
aviators and aviation fans, without bogging the reader down with
too much technical stuff. So if you're a professional pilot or e.g.
"just" an airshow visitor, you should be able relate to these
stories!
An aircraft maneuver in which the aircraft is autorotating as it
descends, with one wing flying and the other stalled. Flat spins
are often caused when the Center of Gravity (CG) is too far aft.
This allows centrifugal force to flatten the spin. Few aircraft can
be recovered from an unintentional flat spin.
"We have had mandatory six-day work weeks for a few
months now and that has led to fatigue and a loss of focus and has
reduced our margin for error to a bare minimum. Our normal shift
rotation has become a mixture of varying start and stop times and
controllers have been pushed to their physical and mental
limits."
