Airborne 06.09.16: Mooney Ovation Ultra, Commercial Moon Mission, Rebate Details

Mooney Aircraft says their first Ovation Ultra airplane made its initial test flight last weekend. The flight was made out of Kerrville Municipal Airport with Mooney Chief Test Pilot, Mike Miles, at the controls. The flight lasted for about one hour. The Ovation Ultra test airplane is a fully FAA conforming certification aircraft. Miles reported that performance and handling were excellent.
