Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum Receives $1 Million Gift

Will Support 'How Things Fly' Exhibition Slated For 2024 Opening

The National Air and Space Museum has received a $1 million gift from AAR Corp., its chairman and CEO David P. Storch and the family of its founder Ira J. Eichner. The gift supports the construction of the new Design Hangar in the transformed “How Things Fly exhibition at the flagship building in Washington, D.C., scheduled to open in 2024. The gift will also provide funding for programming in advance of and during construction, and will expand educational opportunities to students and teachers across the country with the creation of an online teacher portal.

Aero Linx: The European Air Law Association (EALA) The European Air Law Association (EALA) was founded in 1988 on the initiative of Professor P. D. Dagtoglou in recognition of the fact that, after many years, air transport policy had become accepted as an indispensable part of the EU integration process. EALA’s inaugural conference was held in London in November 1989 and annual conferences have been held since then in European capital cities. Every other year (since 1997) the Munich Liability Seminar deals with liability issues and in 2006 the biennial Copenhagen Aircraft Finance Legal Seminar was established.

Movement Area The runways, taxiways, and other areas of an airport/heliport which are utilized for taxiing/hover taxiing, air taxiing, takeoff, and landing of aircraft, exclusive of loading ramps and parking areas.
