New York State troopers and Clarence Center firefighters who
responded to the fiery scene of
downed Continental Flight 3407 on February 12
have been left not only with indelible impressions of the tragedy,
but also feelings of heartfelt gratitude to the people of the small
community who them showed kindness and support as they dealt with
the tragedy's aftermath.
The Millville Army Air Field Museum preserves US military
aviation history, including the recent Middle East conflict. Museum
programs and tours focus on education about Millville's vital role
in aviation history and the history of the P-47 Thunderbolt. The
Millville Airport was dedicated "America's First Defense Airport"
on August 2, 1941 by local, state, and federal officials.
Unit of speed, named after the Austrian physicist Ernst Mach
(1838-1916), equal to the ratio of the speed of a moving object to
the speed of sound in the surrounding medium under ambient
conditions.
"Please don't make a mistake. This is the best
partnership that human beings have ever had. We're building the
best space station that's ever been built. We're going to the stars
together. So let's not let these little small things stop us from
realizing this partnership we have together."
